As many as 190 huts have been erected using bamboo and coconut leaves.
Artisans from across the country will display their products at the two-week fair.
Fifty huts have been set aside for artisans from Kerala.
Those from other States will get twice the number. Organisers said five pavilions would be kept for artisans from abroad.
Artisans from Egypt, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are expected to participate.
The fair will witness an exhibition and demonstration of handloom products and their weaving.
Thirty stalls have been earmarked for handloom cooperative societies.Twelve food courts will be set up as part of the fair.
Apart from a main stage, two demonstration stages too have been set up.
Special stalls have been allotted for the District Tourism Promotion Council, Fire Force and police.
As many as 450 artisans from different parts of the country are expected to participate in the fair. They will be given accommodation at Malappuram and Manjeri. Organizers said that artisans would start arriving from Monday.
Malappuram District Collector M.C. Mohandas said that there would be no entry fee for the fair.
